Notification issued 7/21/16 at 6:03 PM. The National Weather Service has issued a Heat Advisory citywide for Friday, July 22 from 12:00 PM until Saturday, July 23 at 7:00 PM. These conditions are dangerous to health. Avoid strenuous activity. People without air conditioning, older adults, and people with chronic health conditions are most at risk. Cooling centers will be open. In addition, the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation has issued an Air Quality Health Advisory for New York City for Friday 11:00 AM – 11:00 PM.
