The FDR Drive will be fully closed in both directions between 61st Street and 96th Street on Saturday from 2 am to 6 am and Sunday from 2 am to 7 am to facilitate construction of the East 91st Street Marine Transfer Station. Northbound FDR Drive traffic will exit at the 61st Street exit ramp and motorists can use First Avenue and follow the detour signs to the 96th Street entrance to re-enter the FDR. Southbound FDR Drive traffic will exit at 116th Street to use Second Avenue and re-enter the FDR Drive at 79th Street. The FDR Drive southbound entrance ramp at 125th street and northbound entrance ramps at 34th Street, 48th Street, and 62nd Street will be closed. All work is weather dependent.
There will be street closures in Brooklyn and Queens on Sunday between 5 am and 5 pm for the Bike the Boros: Brooklyn Queens Tour. Brooklyn Bridge Saturday lane closures: * Brooklyn-bound: One of three lanes will be closed from 2 am to 2 pm, and two of three lanes will be closed from 3 am to 7 am. * Manhattan-bound: One of three lanes will be closed from 1 am to 7 am, and two of three lanes will be closed from 2 am to 6 am.
The Bayonne Bridge will be fully closed in both directions from 11:59 pm Friday to 8 am Saturday and from 11:59 pm Saturday to 8 am Sunday. Motorists should use the Goethals Bridge as an alternate.
One lane at a time on the 11th Street and 21st Street ramps in Queens leading to the Manhattan-bound Upper Roadway of the Ed Koch Queensboro Bridge will be closed on Saturday from 12:01 am to 5 am for repair of roadway wear and tear. These closures will take place Tuesdays through Saturdays from 12:01 am to 5 am until June 18.
One lane on each ramp will remain open to traffic at all times. One tube of the Battery Park Underpass will be closed on Saturday from 1 am to 8 am for the restoration of the electrical and mechanical systems damaged by Superstorm Sandy. The West Street Underpass will be open when the south tube (West Street to FDR Drive) is closed.
The north walkway of the Metropolitan Avenue Bridge over English Kills will be closed on Saturday from 6 am to 5 pm for painting of the bridge control house. The south walkway will remain open.
Two lanes of the Van Wyck Expressway between Northern Boulevard and the Long Island Expressway, either northbound or southbound, will be closed on Saturday between 1 am and 6 am and on Sunday between 1 am and 9 am. One lane of traffic in each direction will be maintained at all times.
Mulberry Street between Canal Street and Broome Street and Hester Street between Mott Street and Baxter Street will be closed starting Friday through September 11 from 6 pm to 9 pm for the Little Italy Pedestrian Mall.
