Weekend Bridge and Street Closures – June 4-5

Brooklyn Bridge Saturday lane closures: * Brooklyn-bound: One of three lanes will be closed from 2 am to 2 pm, and two of three lanes will be closed from 3 am to 7 am.  * Manhattan-bound: One of three lanes will be closed from 1 am to 7 am, and two of three lanes will be closed from 2 am to 6 am.

One lane at a time on the 11th Street and 21st Street ramps in Queens leading to the Manhattan-bound Upper Roadway of the Ed Koch Queensboro Bridge will be closed on Saturday from 12:01 am to 5 am for repair of roadway wear and tear. These closures will take place Tuesdays through Saturdays from 12:01 am to 5 am until June 18.  One lane on each ramp will remain open to traffic at all times.

The 79th Street Central Park Transverse will be completely closed (except for emergency vehicles) on Saturday from 12:01 am to 5 am for scheduled under-deck bridge inspections. The other Transverses will be open.

One tube of the Battery Park Underpass will be closed on Saturday from 1 am to 8 am for the restoration of the electrical and mechanical systems damaged by Superstorm Sandy. The West Street Underpass will be open when the south tube (West Street to FDR Drive) is closed.

The Bayonne Bridge will be fully closed in both directions from 11:59 pm Friday to 5 am Monday. Motorists should use the Goethals Bridge as an alternate.    The following streets will be closed on Saturday: * 1st Avenue between 68th Street and 79th Street Place in Manhattan will be closed from 10 am to 6 pm for the Lenox Hill Neighborhood House 1st Avenue Festival * Belmont Avenue between Rockaway Avenue and Watkins Street in Brooklyn will be closed from 1 pm to 6 pm for the DOT Weekend Walks Be On Belmont * 61st Street between Roosevelt Avenue and Woodside Avenue in Queens will be closed from noon to 4 pm for the DOT Weekend Walks Multicultural Festival * Lane Avenue between Westchester Avenue and East Tremont Avenue in the Bronx will be closed from 4 pm to 9 pm for the DOT Weekend Walks Movie and Family Nights at the Square.

The following streets in Manhattan will be closed on Sunday from 11 am to 4 pm for the Celebrate Israel Parade: * 5th Avenue between 52nd Street and 79th Street * Madison Avenue between 70th Street and 79th Street (east side) * Lexington Avenue between 70th Street and 79th Street (west side) * 52nd Street to 55th Street between Park Avenue and 6th Avenue * 56th Street between 7th Avenue and Park Avenue * 68th Street between 5th Avenue and Madison Avenue * 69th Street between Madison Avenue and Park Avenue * 73rd Street to 78th Street between Madison Avenue and Lexington Avenue   The following streets in Manhattan will be closed on Sunday from noon to 6 pm for the Philippine Independence Day Council Parade & Festival: * Madison Avenue between 39th Street to 25th Street * Park Avenue between 24th Street and 25th Street (west side only) * 24th Street to 26th Street between Madison Avenue and Park Avenue * 27th Street between 5th Avenue and Park Avenue * 29th Street between 5th Avenue and Park Avenue * 36th Street between 5th Avenue and Park Avenue * 37th Street between 5th Avenue and Madison Avenue * 38th Street between 5th Avenue and Park Avenue * 39th Street between 5th Avenue and Madison Avenue.

The following streets in Queens will be closed on Sunday from noon to 2 pm for the Queens Pride Parade: * 37th Avenue between 90th Street and 74th Street * 89th Street between 35th Avenue and Roosevelt Avenue * 75th Street between 37th Avenue and 37th Road * 37th Road between 74th Street and 77th Street * 46th Street between 6th Avenue and 9th Avenue * 47th Street between Broadway and 8th Avenue   The following streets will be closed on Sunday: * 6th Avenue between 34th Street and 42nd Street in Manhattan will be closed from 10 am to 6 pm for the Church of St. John Baptist & Gramercy Park Neighborhood Association Fair * 5th Avenue between 65th Street and 85th Street in Brooklyn will be closed from 10 am to 6 pm for the 5th Avenue Spring Festival * Grand Concourse between 184th Street and Mosholu Parkway and Van Cortland Avenue between Grand Concourse and Mosholu Parkway in the Bronx will be closed from 1 pm to 5 pm for the Bronx Puerto Rican Day Parade * Graham Avenue between Metropolitan Avenue and Broadway in Brooklyn will be closed from 2 pm to 5 pm for the Puerto Rican State Parade and Festival The times listed for closures for street fairs are for the actual times of the street fairs themselves.

The streets may be closed longer to allow for set-up and breakdown. Street fair organizers are generally permitted to begin set-up at 8 am and breakdown must be completed by 7 pm.
